Since earning my MFA in painting from Arizona State University in 1985, I have lead a life focused on painting. When I'm not traveling for teaching or for artist residencies (in such places as the Catalonia region of Spain, northern Sweden, and coastal areas of Ireland) I work almost daily in my studio in rural western Wisconsin. I draw significant influence from these residencies and travels, as well as from my surroundings at home.
I am represented by fine art galleries in New Mexico, Colorado, Wisconsin, Chicago, and Ireland. My paintings are included in hundreds of private collections, and in many public and corporate collections including the MD Cancer Center, Houston, TX, University of Wisconsin, and a number of law firms, clinics and banking offices.
Since 2009 I’ve been teaching workshops-- around the country and in my home studio--on the use of cold wax medium for abstract painting. I share my original techniques, and insights developed since 2002 when I began working with this fascinating medium.
